Check the USCIS website to see how long it is taking USCIS to process I-90s in general. Be sure to select “I-90|Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card” in the first drop-down and “Potomac Service Center” on the second drop-down.
You can check your case status on the USCIS website. MyImmigration will also send you updates anytime your case status changes.
It is very important that you promptly update your address when you move. If you don’t, your green card may be sent to the wrong address. You can update your address on USCIS’s website.
While your I-90 is pending, you may need current proof of your LPR status to travel, for employment purposes, renew a driver’s license, apply for government benefits, or other reasons. There are two types of temporary documents you can use to show you are a lawful permanent resident while your I-90 is pending:
